Event: From Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday (a mini-retreat)

In an online Zoom event exclusive for subscribers of America magazine, Father Sam Sawyer, editor in chief of America, will lead a “mini retreat” reflecting on the journey from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Break open the idea of Lent as a pilgrimage to Easter
  • Understand the cadence and themes of the lectionary throughout Lent
  • Identify and reflect on what you personally are journeying to this Lent and where you want to arrive on Easter Sunday

Drawing upon our experiences as America readers, listeners and pilgrims, Father Sam will lead us through exercises and reflections that will help prepare us for Lent as we anticipate the glory of the Resurrection.

This mini-retreat will be recorded and posted on this page a few days after it has concluded.
